Who we are and what we do.
Butterfly's Care Homes is a family run group of care homes in Essex which has been operating for the past eighteen years. During this time we have become a highly professional, established and well trusted care provider. Each member of our team is trained to highest standards of professionalism, in line with our principles of service. Our aim is to encourage independence, preserve dignity, enable freedom of choice and protect the privacy of each service user.
We are committed to making sure that we provide our customers and their families with the highest quality of care and support possible. As a team we are continually evolving and improving our practices. But it is the founding principle of 'supporting people to reach their full potential' that underpins everything we do.

Unique needs
The Care team in our home is dedicated to high standards of care for each and every service user within the home. The Care Team comprises of trained and dedicated carers who care for each service user's unique needs and preferences.
British sign language communication
All employees undergo a tailored training program with the basic premise that it is the individual responsibility of each employee to deliver meaningful care to our service user's. This duty of care includes BSL (British Sign Language) trained staff communicating with service users that are hard of hearing.

Emotional stress
We stress the importance of putting your loved one's emotional needs first and foremost, whether it means celebrating a birthday or simply fluffing a pillow. One of the delights of our home is that you can choose to do as much or as little as you like. The home organises a wide variety of social activities. Whether pottering around in the garden, watching a dvd, enjoying a sing a service user can participate in his or her favourite activity if he or she wishes.
Community spirit
The home has a sense of community spirit. We organise meetings where service users, staff and reletives can decide which social events and activities they would like to pursue. Relatives and friends of the service user are positively encouraged to attend various events and activities that take place. Outings are also arranged using our specially adapted mini bus. Popular outings include a visit to Colchester Castle, the fantastic Colchester Zoo & trips to the seaside.

Garden Maintenance
With over 15 years expirience in the the care trade, we now provide care to the elderly and disabled that are unable to maintain their properties and/or gardens. For piece of mind all of our staff are fully CRB/DBS checked so you can be rest assured the workers that enter your premises are friendly and trust worthy individuals.
